Westacre Wednesday Playreaders meet on the third Wednesday of the month from February until June and from September until November, and since its inception in 2009, the group has read a wide variety of plays, ranging from Shakespeare to late 20th century thrillers and from Russian classics like Chekhov’s “The Cherry Orchard” to modern farce.
The group is friendly and informal, and meetings start at 7pm. We usually finish around 9 to 9.30pm, depending on the length of the play, and there is a break for coffee and biscuits.
You don’t need to act, just read the script, which is provided.
The cost is £3 per meeting, and members come along whenever they can. We just need to know a few days before who will attend in order to cast the play.
NEXT MEETING: Wed 16th October
TIME: 7.00pm
TEXT: TBC
